GRADUATE STUDY PROGRAMME OF MUSIC EDUCATION/PEDAGOGY

The general outcomes expected from the master of music pedagogy can be recognized in competences (knowledge, skills and abilities) related to teaching activities with children and young people. Considering his/her teaching competences, he/she can independently conduct teaching activities in the field of music culture and art in primary and secondary schools, also in the field of solfeggio in primary music schools, then lead different types of vocal and instrumental groups, or choirs at the amateurish level. He/she is competent for score-writing, and editing music programmes in media.
The following specific outcomes can be divided into those related to professional courses and those related to music theory courses. The outcomes of optional courses generally supplement and follow the outcomes of compulsory courses. Additional competences for teaching are acquired through choosing the Education Package courses (examinations to be passed).
Master of Music Pedagogy will be able to:
- carry out practical activities in primary schools, primary music schools and comprehensive schools
- analyze, describe, demonstrate and realize contents in teaching music culture, solfeggio and music art
- conduct research into the issues of music pedagogy on his/her own
- lead school, amateurish and similar ensembles
- cooperate with different education and cultural institutions
- do secondary activities in education and culture in general
- continue studying at the postgraduate level
