BIOGRAPHY:
Neva Slani was born on 6 June 1977 in Rijeka. In 1999 she graduated at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Rijeka, department of mathematics and computer science. She won her master's degree at the Faculty of Science - Department of mathematics of the University of Zagreb in 2004. On 18 February 2009 she defended her doctoral dissertation of the title Secure Open Networks at the same faculty, mentored by Ph.D. Francisco Martins and Ph.D. Zvonimir Šikić in the period of her study residence at the Universidade de Lisboa, Departamento de Informática of Lisbon.

From 2000 to 2011 she was employed at the Chair of Mathematics at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture of Zagreb. From October 2011 to August 2012 she worked at the Department of Mathematics of the University of Rijeka. Since January 2013 she has been employed as assistant at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Pula. She taught part-time at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Rijeka, at the Faculty of Economy in Zagreb and at the Department of mathematics of the Faculty of Science (Formal methods of computer science, www.fsb.hr/~nslani/fm).
