BIOGRAPHY:
Maja Ružić-Baf was born in 1976 in Koper, Republic of Slovenia. She completed primary school and linguistic high school in Poreč. She graduated preschool education at the Teacher Training College of Pula in 1997. She won the Rector's award. The same year she was admitted at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka and in 2002 she graduated and gained the title of B.A. professor of Pedagogy and ICT.

For a number of years she was working as an external associate – assistant of information and pedagogical courses at the Teacher Training School of Pula, the Faculty of Humanities of Pula, the faculty of Economy of Pula, the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula and the Public Open Educational Institution in Poreč. Since 2002 she has been the leader for education and personal ICT coach in the company Infosit l.l.c. for information technologies. Since 2004 she has been employed as junior researcher at the Faculty of Humanities of Pula and in 2015 she was elected and employed as associate professor at the Faculty of Educational Sciences. She was co-operator at a few home and international scientific projects. She has published two scientific books, a number of scientific and technical papers which have been reviewed and published in foreign and home journals (http://bib.irb.hr). She has held talks at international and home scientific conferences. She is a reviewer and member of the editorial board in a few home and foreign scientific journals and monographs.

FUNCTIONS AND AWARDS:
She filled the following posts at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula:

1. Member of the Committee for the development strategy design of the Department of Educational Sciences of the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula from 2013 to 2018.
2. Member of the Committee for the internal assessment of the Quality System (17 November 2011).
3. Member of the Committee for the Department's web pages.
4. Member of the team for the co-ordination of teachers' studies in the Republic of Croatia (2012 - ).
5. Member of the team for the introduction of informatization at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, since 2014.
6. She filled the post of deputy head of the Department of Educational Sciences in 2014.
7. Member of the editorial board of the journal Metodički obzori (Methodical Horizons)
8. Member of the organizing committee of the specialist - scientific conference "Mate DeMarin."
9. Editor of a monograph.
10. Reviewer in scientific journals: Croatian Journal of Education, Školski vjesnik (The School News), Suvremena psihologija (Contemporary Psychology), WASET.
11. Member of the editorial board of the journal Metodički obzori (Methodical Horizons), IJIR.
12. In 2003 and 2004 she organized two exhibitions of students and children’s works “The children’s world through games I and II” in Pula.
13. She was the co-organizer of the conference: 2nd Conference Microsoft community / HUPRO in Poreč.
14. She has organized a number of lecture cycles with the topic of The Use of Information Sciences and ICT in Everyday Life.
15. Since 2002 she is the member and one of the founders of the association for the development of higher education Universitas in Rijeka.
16. With her students she has designed and presented the project E-mmunity.
17. In 2012 she was given the best paper award, 1st place at the international scientific conference EMEE 2012 – Education in the Modern European Environment.
